Visitor Information

Cwmtillery (Welsh: Cwmtyleri) is a village in Blaenau Gwent, Wales. It is situated 1 mile north of Abertillery.

Located within a narrow valley formed by the River Tyleri, the area now known as Cwmtillery was once a picturesque woodland area based beneath the heights of the local hills 'Gwastad' and Mynydd James. English historian William Coxe mentioned the area as, "Well peopled, richly wooded and highly cultivated, almost rivaling the fertile counties of England".
